A World of Jazz
at The Quarry KULCHA and JazzWA combine to present A WORLD OF JAZZ, the 2nd Annual World Jazz showcase at the magnificent Quarry Amphitheatre. This sophisticated spring sundowner will feature West Australian group Descarga, known for their dynamic and energetic rhythms, with some of Australia's finest young jazz soloists. This dazzling seven piece band performs traditional Cuban mambo, cha-cha cha and descargas (jam sessions) as well as contemporary Latin jazz arrangements. The outlandish Cathie Travers & Red-Tail, and Sham Celtic/Jazz band will also ignite the stage from 4-7pm on Sunday 21st November. Pack a Sunday afternoon style picnic and soak up the atmosphere from 3pm. This event sold out in 2003 so book early at BOCS on 9484 1133.
