Tastedancejam is a new initiative by Ausdance WA in association with Kulcha to showcase the diversity of dance in WA and celebrate community dance involvement. It will be presented as a free outdoor multicultural dance festive event accompanied with live music.

Tastedancejam will enliven the new Esplanade Performing Arts Facility on the Perth Foreshore. The event will feature a blend of indigenous, contemporary and multicultural dance forms. Salsa, Cossack, tango, ballet, contemporary, sega from the Seychelles, capoeira, Tibetan dance, African fusion, bellydance, flamenco and Scottish Highland dance will melt into an energising showcase of Western Australian dance talents. The event will conclude with a new work by Move featuring hip hop to the rhythms of an Indian tabla player and funk DJ. The finale led by Tropical Funk Merchants with Bantus Capoeira will lead everyone stamping the lawn for a frenetic finale to close the party.

Whilst the sun sets, claim a soft patch on the lawn, enjoy a picnic or take away and embark on a journey to a world of explosive and athletic performance imbibed with sensual beauty.
