Chinese Orchestra Chinese culture The Chinese Orchestra aim to promote traditional Chinese culture whilst developing their music skills and rendering the arts and music accessible. The history of music in China dates back some 4,000 years. The Chinese orchestra is an amalgam of many cultural traditions. Like the philharmonic orchestra, it is made up of four sections including Bowed-strings; Plucked-strings ; Woodwind and Percussions. TheatreRenata Martins Brazilian-born artist Renata Martins has acted in many plays around the world. She received her tertiary education in Interdisciplinary Arts and Performances from Arizona State University in United States and has taught drama for more than 15 years. Renata utilises Augusto Boal's theatrical method to introduce drama to new students. Her workshop features warm up games, group work, facial expressions, body language, voice and intonation work, concentration games and drama skills such as mime and improvisation. The theme of this project is multiculturalism. Renata encourages kids to look at diversity as an integrated part of the society using drama techniques as a tool for their investigation.
