Latin Gypsy Experiment Latin Gypsy Experiment (Eastern European/South American) A new experimental band offering New World sound combines three musicians from Eastern European and South American cultures. Through performances at KULCHA Polish born Jessica Ipkendanz (formerly of Kashtany Duo), Marco Quiroz and Gabriel Segovia (LC Salsa & Los Chasquis) saw an opportunity to experiment with the cultural sounds and instruments they inherited from their respective backgrounds. The experiment combines the raw passion of the Eastern European gypsy style of violin composition with the colour and rhythm of South American instruments and steamy vocals. A sell out audience witnessed a fantastic feat of musical passion and cohesion on the first night of this experiment at KULCHA in June 2001.
