ASANTE - WITH THE BURUNDIAN CHILDREN'S CHOIR
A recent highlight of the Fairbridge Festival, Richard Niyoyankuze's band Asante performs with The Burundian Children's Choir. Born in Burundi, Richard has been writing, performing and recording his own music since arriving in Perth in 2006. His lyrics are an antidote to war and the refugee experience. This original music blends familiar African rhythms with a contemporary feel. The voices of the children provide a window into the culture and the land they have left behind.
