DAVE CLARKE AND IVAN ZAR - BEYOND MISSISSIPPI
Mississippi distilled African music into blues, spreading north to Chicago and over to Europe. Eventually it reached Australia, where two young misfits found an identity in this dark troubled music. The rural blues hooked Dave Clarke, learning harp, guitar, mandolin and violin, while harp and slide-guitar became Ivan's life. Together with washboard virtuoso John Johnstone, and Jesse Woodward on Double Bass and banjo, they retrace their professional journeys in the blues.
