A rare opportunity to learn the art of traditional and contemporary West African music and dance from an expert.
Ziggi Bey Jan danced and choreographed for world music icon Baaba Maal for a decade. Ziggi's style of teaching and workshop facilitation is as dynamic and engaging as his performances.
Drumming accompaniment by international master drummer Djibril Diagne. Classes cater for all levels of experience.

Balkan Dance Workshop with Palenque Blair -
The Flying Carpathians' Palenque Blair presents an afternoon of traditional dancing. The workshop will focus on the more complex dances of Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey in preparation for the Flying Carpathians concert later that night, but is open to dancers of every skill level. All are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Book for the workshop and the Flying Carpathians performance for special combined rates.

Ruth, Lucy and Rowena Wise, of the Wise Family Band have been performing for several years as The Wise Girls, writing their own songs and putting their own spin on everything from Joni Mitchell to Elliot Smith, along with some cranking fiddle tunes and beautiful harmonies.
