Croatian-born painter Neda Starac presents her 26th solo visual arts exhibition with a celebration of the magnificence of flowers.
Neda's greatest gift to her mother was often handpicked flowers and this floral series represents gifts of love, peace and happiness.
Expressed in this exhibition are the different meanings and intentions that flowers portray, a red rose is love, a purple violet - friendship, or a white carnation expresses good luck as a gift to a woman

Peruvian-born musician, Eduardo Cossio, has built a reputation as a skilled multi-instrumentalist and songwriter.
Alongside the company of band mates Merle Fishwick and Jessica Panegyres, Eduardo's music is a refreshing mix of songs and instrumentals, making use of wind, percussion, stringed and keyboard instruments.

@ FLY BY NIGHT MUSICIANS CLUB, FREMANTLE The spirit of Africa - WALA on tour from Ghana! A high energy performance featuring drumming, dance, percussion and beautiful vocal harmonies! An exciting West African percussion and dance group, Wala give a high-energy and dynamic performance featuring drumming, dance, percussion and soaring vocal harmonies, capturing the spirit and essence of Ghanaian culture. This year the group is touring Australia for the sixth time as a five piece ensemble featuring two dancers, new shows, and the launch of their 3rd CD - "Anukwale" presenting a fresh new line-up as well as some old favourites! Wala excel at teaching percussion, dance and singing through their various workshops to the community, at festivals, schools, universities, their intensive learning camps, and private tuition. Classes are tailor-made to suit the individual requirements of their students and are suitable for all levels of experience, from the amateur enthusiast to the professional. Wala will be presenting dance and drum workshops at KULCHA in Fremantle on Sunday 24 August.

Immerse yourself in Ghanaian rhythm, song and dance.
Wala are five musicians who have been performing and sharing their rich musical culture since childhood. Firstly, you can learn or improve your djembe, doun-doun or kpanlogo drum rhythms (tailored for all levels of ability), then the dancers will teach you the moves to go with them.
The drummers will then accompany the dancers culminating in a magical experience you will never forget.
