Of Greek and Romany heritage, Penelope Smith-Carter Dichiera celebrates femininity through visual arts.
The Original Femine is a series of original mixed media paintings depicting the feminine form from different backgrounds and cultures in an array of poses, both surreal and distorted, exploring pain, love,
depth and passion.
In the span of her career Penelope has travelled the world, painting and displaying her works and in 1997 she was commissioned to restore 500 year-old icons in a private church in Corfu, Greece

Antal Szalai is a world-class gypsy violin sololist and winner of the coveted Ferenc Liszt Award in 2005.
Hailing from a family of gypsy musicians, Antal studied at the Bela Bartok Conservatory of Music and has led the Hungarian Gypsy Orchestra for nearly 40 years,
presenting a rare chance to experience evergreen traditional Hungarian and international gypsy melodies with operetta highlights.

ZIGGY BEY JAN GROUP - CD LAUNCH
Internationally acclaimed Senegalese performer and master drummer Ziggy Bey Jan launches his long-awaited CD Ngewell Generation.
Ziggy was born into a griot family and learnt sabar, tama and kora from a very young age, performing at ceremonial functions and cultural gatherings in Senegal.
His expert instrumentation will be complemented by energetic dancers and backed by an eight-piece band.

Born into a musical family on the Upper Nile in the Malakal Region of Sudan, Ajak Kwai migrated to Australia in 1999 under the UN Humanitarian Aid program.
2007 saw her work with producer Chris Basile to record her second album Come Together with Nicky Bomba and Phil Gunter.
Her deeply philosophical and global concerns are expressed in her heartfelt songs about freedom, peace, love, marriage, and ... cows, the foundation of Dinka life.
