She is fascinated by the people, landscape and history of this vast country and hopes to share some aspects of everyday life in Sudan.
Joanna believes the most intriguing feature of this nation is its enormous diversity.

Fremantle's own West African-inspired drum, song and dance band, The Ngewell Kora Group, are back! Led by the inimitable Ziggy Mabeye Diagne,
the group now also includes Ziggy's brother Djibril, a master of djembe and sabar, alongside Mike O'Shaughnessy and Danielle Pender,
recently returned from studying dance in Senegal.
Expect some surprise guests and come along to dance to the exquisite sounds of the kora.
