Federico Medina - MULTICULTURAL AUSTRALIA
Multicultural Australia is a series of artworks produced by Mexican-born artist Federico Medina.
These works illustrate the outcomes of forums involving people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
Federico has worked with many different communities assisting them to express their dreams and aspirations using his extensive teaching experience.

EGYPTIAN FOLKLORE MASTERCLASS - Haggala dance
Hassan Youssef presents a series of workshops with Dr Samir Gaber Beshai, one of Egypt's premier dance instructors,
an acclaimed professor of folkloric dance who pioneered Egypt's National Folk Troupe.
The masterclasses will cover the theory, practice and traditions behind traditional snake, horse and stick dances, as well as Ghawazi, Awalim, Nubian,
Haggala and Siwa folkloric dance. Come for one class or for all, then put it into practice with a concert at Kulcha Saturday 13 October.

Join in the fun these school holidays and learn basic Island and African fusion dance steps.
Facilitated by singer, songwriter and dancer Grace Barbe from the Seychelles Islands, you will learn to express movement to the beat and rhythm of sega, soukous,
reggae and zouk accompanied by djembe and Island chants in a fun atmosphere.

Join WAMI Award-winning Seychellois singer and songwriter Grace Barbe for an acoustic performance to celebrate songs of the Kreol Festival.
Accompanied by Seychellois singer and guitarist Jemmy Louange, Grace will perform traditional and contemporary favourites in Kreol, French and English from the islands of Seychelles, Mauritius, Madagascar and Reunion.
An intimate island experience of songs enriched with colourful harmonies.

Join Paul Osei Kofi from local group Akwaaba for an exciting eight week African drumming course where you'll be taught the basic techniques of African hand drumming along with a variety of exciting rhythms from West Africa.
Originally from Ghana, Paul is well known for his work with local communities, festivals and corporate events. Drums and other instruments are supplied.
