KULCHA - 10 YEARS AT THE FREMANTLE VENUE
Multicultural Arts of WA was founded in 1983 to provide support to multicultural artists and to recognise our cultural diversity.
Ten years ago, the KULCHA Fremantle Venue was born. This achievement was the culmination of a driving passion to develop an inviting, professional space in which to present the diversity of rich talent which makes up our community.
In May, KULCHA is proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone for this much-loved performance space, with a week-long program of events supported by the Office of Multicultural Interests and the City of Fremantle.
Please join with us in the celebrations!

Bo Janmaat - VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION
MEET ME IN THE STREET A PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION BY BO JANMAAT
After managing a photo and film studio in Amsterdam, Bo Janmaat emigrated to Australia in late 2003, opting for the Australian scenery and
intending to spend more time behind the camera.
Meet me in the Street is the result of a million steps immeasurable impressions and a zillion thoughts.
This exhibition is a compilation of images taken on the streets and in empty buildings in the Fremantle area ...graffiti, stencil/copy art,
posters in various states of disarray.
Bo hopes to illustrate how beautiful graffiti can be and reverse the negative stereotypes and this very fundamental ancient artform.
There are many faces in this exhibition, a source of endless fascination to the artist as a portrayal of self.
Meet Me in the Street also features pictures of cars in unusual settings, images of Borneo and portraits, a pastiche of the artist's journey.
Meet Bo at the Anniversary Sundowner on Friday 4 May and view his slideshow BZAR Daydream
