Bo Janmaat - VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION
MEET ME IN THE STREET A PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION BY BO JANMAAT
After managing a photo and film studio in Amsterdam, Bo Janmaat emigrated to Australia in late 2003, opting for the Australian scenery and
intending to spend more time behind the camera.
Meet me in the Street is the result of a million steps immeasurable impressions and a zillion thoughts.
This exhibition is a compilation of images taken on the streets and in empty buildings in the Fremantle area ...graffiti, stencil/copy art,
posters in various states of disarray.
Bo hopes to illustrate how beautiful graffiti can be and reverse the negative stereotypes and this very fundamental ancient artform.
There are many faces in this exhibition, a source of endless fascination to the artist as a portrayal of self.
Meet Me in the Street also features pictures of cars in unusual settings, images of Borneo and portraits, a pastiche of the artist's journey.

LUKA BLOOM & SABRINA DINAN - Special Concert
LUKA BLOOM: Not only a tremendous guitarist but also a mesmerising performer, LUKA is one of the rare showmen who can fill two hours at ease with only a guitar in his hands. And in between, he knows how to mark himself with some funny blinding lyrics
SABRINA DINAN: The minute you hear her sing you will know you're in the presence of someone special. The smoky warmth of her voice is irresistible. Her songs range from upbeat passionate to so gentle and fragile that the audience seems to hold its breath during the intricate guitar picking.

THE MAMMALS - Subversive acoustic traditionalists
Lively, loud and utterly engaging. From New York, The Mammals are a string band at the core, describing themselves as 'subversive acoustic traditionalists'.
Their arrangements and writing stagecraft have been described as Radiohead meets string band.
Fine song writing pulls these young players to the front of the pack, and their bold arrangements risk the outer boundaries of frenzy and calm.

DAVID HYAMS & THE MILES TO GO BAND - from Ireland to the Fitzroy River
David Hyams' Miles to Go Band has become a fixture at many Australian festivals over the last few years.
Its not hard to see why with this line up of instrumental talent. But it is really the skill and artistry of his compositions and their power
to evoke place - from Ireland to the Fitzroy River - that tantalizes.
