    A song, dance and percussion project sharing the colourful, vibrant culture of Mozambique with the broader community. Participants of the workshop will work with 5 artists over 8 weeks to learn and practice traditional song, dance and music with authentic instruments and to develop a public performance at KULCHA.     Indonesian topeng (mask) dance and contemporary hybrid theatre in cabaret-style.     Folk acoustic
    The Wise Family repertoire includes folk music from Australia, the British Isles, Scandinavia and is also influenced by blues and African-American folk songs. The Wise Family play regional US fiddle styles, including Cajun tunes from Louisiana. They last performed at KULCHA in 2003, have since released 2 CDs and are a nationally touring acoustic act. A funky double bass, warm, sensuous vocals and a cheeky smile, Liz combines a hard earned folk pedigree with jazz/blues sensitivity to deliver her disarmingly honest and often lighthearted material. Her W.A. band features the talents of David Hyams (guitars), Paul Gioia (keyboards), Reuben Kooperman (percussion) & Stephanie Nicholls (violin) & Paul Gioia will be opening the night with his own brand of piano blues & gospel.

    Rusichi is a Russian folk group which performers traditional Russian songs and dances such as Kalinka. This performance includes a balalaika player and wooden spoon players.
