BATARI WORKSHOP Japanese Taiko drumming with Batari ensemble This workshop introduces the unique history of Taiko, the traditional drum used in ritual and festive occasions in Japan. Participants do not need any special training and will learn various basic techniques, improvisation and hands on ensemble playing, enjoying sound textures in an open and creative environment. Participants may bring their own drum if desired. (1.5-2hrs) |
